Our games

We only make games that ignite our passion. Each project is crafted in an environment of mutual respect and dedication, where we work together to form a single, powerful vision of what we want to build. We listen to each voice on our team, and the result is a memorable and engaging experience.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Wolfenstein: Youngblood was a departure from the “traditional” Wolfenstein games we had made before. We pushed the story further into the future 20 years and made a non-linear story that players got to choose how they experienced our new take on Wolfenstein they could experience with a friend. Players get to choose either Jess or Sophia, both of them are BJ’s daughters and they are both on the hunt for him. The game takes place in a Nazi-occupied Paris in the 1980’s. This is the first time that a Wolfenstein game has been co-operative and you could even play online with that friend as well, it was not just a standard “coach co-op” game. We also brought more to the game with different tactical advantages and freedoms to have different playstyles each time if the players wanted.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, 2017's Action Game of the Year, expanded on what MachineGames does best – excellent gunplay, epic story and Nazi-killing fun. The story is grander, more complex but also more intimate. We explored the idea of the Nazi war machine making its way to the shores of the United States and how that played out in American society. And how BJ once again took on a mission to rally anti-fascist groups and forge a second American Revolution. But we also dove deeper into the BJ's character, a man forced to reckoned with his troubled childhood as he is on the cusp of fatherhood.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood

Wolfenstein started with BJ Blazkowicz’s escape from Castle Wolfenstein in 1992’s Wolfenstein 3D, and since then, we wanted to return to the infamous fortress. A prequel to the events of Wolfenstein: The New Order, called Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, explores a reimagined Castle Wolfenstein and the villages of Wulfberg. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood strongly adhered to the bombastic gunplay of The New Order; however, it introduced a more refined stealth combat system and more varied combat spaces, allowing players to use a combination of stealth and push-forward gunplay to escape Castle Wolfenstein and gather intel on Deathshead to stop the war.

Wolfenstein: The New Order

When we started development on Wolfenstein: The New Order we focused on what made the original games great – best-in-class gunplay and Nazi killing. We set out not only to modernize Wolfenstein for a new generation of players but to push the boundaries of what a Wolfenstein game could be. We imagined a world where the Nazis won World War II. Then, we unleashed our hero, BJ Blazkowicz, arming him with a powerful arsenal of weapons to wage war against the might of the Nazi war machine. Within that framework, we crafted a complex narrative of loss, love, humor, sorrow, friendship, honor, duty, and vengeance brought to life by cinematic cutscenes and gripping set-pieces.

Games we've collaborated on

MachineGames has had the privilege to not only build our own unique worlds but also help the rest of the Bethesda family create theirs. From DOOM, Deathloop, Skyrim and more! We are part of a family and we could not have been more excited to participate and help our family build their games.
